My name is Sarah Rose and I want to share my weight loss story with you. I put this site up because my friends didn’t believe that I lost so much weight so quickly without expensive surgery. But I did and I hope my story inspries you to do the same because it is possible!

I used to be happy with my weight but over the years the lbs just kept adding up. I have really struggled with my weight and the negative self image it caused me. I recently developed a system for myself using acai berrys and colon cleanser that has caused me to lose alot of weight and keep it off. I feel so healthy and like a completely different person!

My struggle with my weight


I was always happy with my weight even though I always could have a lost a couple of extra lbs I was never fat. But then I got married and had 2 kids. I had a job and was so busy every day that I didn’t have time to take care of myself. One day my family and I were looking through pictures and the contrast between the way I looked and the way I looked was frightening. Within 3 years I had gained over 40 lbs.

The largest number I saw on the scale was 203 lbs It seemed like there was no end to how much weight I could put on, and it was affecting my life in so many ways, TOO many ways, it just had to stop. I tried alot of popular diets like the zone and The Atkins diet. I even even tried programs like Weight Watchers I would lose weight initially but it would always come back. I felt hopeless. I would look in the mirror and see my old self surrounded by layers of fat. i use to spend alot of time on myself with makeup, hair, and clothes. but then I just tried to not bring attention to myself. I was getting depressed and skipping out on social arrangements. Then I saw something that changed my life.

How Oprah turned my life around


Oprah has alot of good guests on her show with great advice, but when I saw Dr. Oz on the show talking about a new superfood called the Acai Berry I would still be fat.

Dr. Oz proceeded to talk about a berry that had been discovered in the Amazon Rainforest called “Acai” (pronounced ah-sah-eee). It’s similar to pomegranate but way more powerful and better tasting. The part that caught my attention was when Dr. Oz explained how these berries help you lose weight by suppressing hunger and boosting energy, exactly what we busy people needed. It was on Oprah and promoted by Dr. Oz so I figure it has to work to some extent!

Than it seemed almost coincidental when I saw him again the next day on other shows talking about another good way to lose weight. Dr. Oz also mentioned that keeping your colon clean can be a great way to lose weight in which dieting and exercise cannot. Expressing that a years worth of bad junk get stuck in your colon like toxins etc. I don’t know all the medical terms but the point is simple and I just figured out the perfect method that led to my incredible weight loss!

That’s when the idea for the “double diet” hit me. What if I tried both Acai products and colon cleanse products to create a super safe and super effective diet?

Eggnogg Pudding Cake

Prepared eggnog makes this an easy cake, and beaten egg whites make it lighter than many cakes. Serve this pudding cake with a simple vanilla sauce or rum sauce.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • pinch salt
  • dash ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/3 cups prepared commercial eggnog
  • boiling water

PREPARATION:

Butter six 5- to 6-ounce ramekins or four 7 to 8-ounce ramekins. Heat oven to 350°. Beat egg whites in a small bowl just until soft peaks begin to form; set aside.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the egg yolks, softened butter, granulated sugar, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg. Stir in flour. Stir in eggnog until smooth. The batter will be thin. Fold in the egg whites, working with about 1/3 of the egg whites at a time. Divide the batter among the prepared ramekins.

Place ramekins in a large baking pan; place on middle rack in oven. Ladle boiling water into the pan until the water is about 1 inch in depth.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • .
  • Cake
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk

PREPARATION:

Topping: Combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, butterscotch chips, coconut, and pecans. Spread over bottom of a buttered 13×9-inch baking pan.

Cake: Cream shortening with granulated sugar until light. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Into another bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour. Beat well after each addition. Beat for about 1 minute longer then pour over the topping. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until the cake bounces back when touched lightly with finger. Cool for 5 minute in the pan; invert carefully onto serving plate, spooning any topping left in the pan over the cake; cut into squares.

Butter Pecan Cake

This cake gets its great pecan flavor from pecans browned in butter.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • .
  • Butter Pecan Frosting
  • .
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • reserved browned butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • about 1/3 cup milk
  • remaining chopped pecans

Preparation:

In 2-quart saucepan over medium low heat, brown pecans in butter until butter is lightly browned; stir constantly. Drain browned butter into a measuring cup; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla, eggs, and 1/2 cup of the browned butter. Beat for about 2 minutes. Stir in 3/4 cup of the chopped pecans. Pour batter into two greased and floured 8- or 9-inch round layer cake pans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center. Cool for 5 minutes; remove from pans and cool thoroughly before frosting.
Frosting:
Blend confectioners’ sugar with remaining browned butter, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/4 cup milk. Add more milk if necessary, a teaspoon at a time. Stir in remaining chopped pecans. Spread top of one layer with about 1/2 cup frosting; top with second layer. Spread remaining frosting over the top and sides of the cake.

Yellow Butter Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred before measuring
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Cream sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add half of the flour mixture then half of the milk. Add vanilla. Mix until blended; add remaining flour and milk and beat until smooth. The batter will be thick. Spread batter in two greased and floured 8-inch layer cake pans or a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 35 minutes, or until cake springs back when lightly touched near center.
Frost as desired.

Butter Cake Recipe

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 8 inch square baking pan. Line bottom with wax paper or dust lightly with flour.
  2. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Cream the butter and blend in the white sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Stir until just blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Remove from pan and allow it to cool.
  5. Variation: Blueberry Cake; Add 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg to your dry ingredients and stir in 1 cup fresh blueberries into the batter before you bake it. Cut it into squares while it is still hot.

Fudge Cake

Dairy sour cream
Boiling water

Oven Temp ~ 350°        Baking Time ~ 35  Min.
Pan Type ~ two 9 inch round pans

Preheat oven, Grease and flour pans.
In a large mixer bowl, cream butter until smooth. Add brown sugar and eggs. Beat with mixer until light and fluffy – about 5 min. With mixer on low speed, beat in vanilla and chocolate, then baking soda and salt. Add flour alternately with sour cream, beating on low speed until smooth. Pour in boiling water; stir with spoon until blended.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake until done.

Banana Brownie Cake Recipe

Unsweetened cocoa
Nonfat dry milk powder
Baking soda
Salt
Very ripe banana
Sugar
Egg whites
Buttermilk
Vanilla extract


Oven Temp ~ 350°        Baking Time ~ 25  Min.
Pan Type ~ 9 inch baking pan


Preheat oven to 350. Coat baking pan with vegetable cooking spray.

Combine flour, cocoa, milk powder, baking soda and salt
in bowl. Puree banana, sugar, egg whites, buttermilk and vanilla in food processor until smooth. Add dry ingredients and pulse just until blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

Cut into 2 inch squares.

Three Layer Chocolate Cake Recipe

Frosting

All purpose flour
Salt
Baking powder
Baking soda
Sugar
Cocoa
Water
Canola oil

Eggs
Water
Vanilla

Powdered sugar
Unsweetened cocoa
Liquid flavoring, vanilla, rum, or cognac
Butter, firm, not cold

Oven Temp ~ 350°        Baking Time ~ 25-35  Min.
Pan Type ~ Three 10″ cake pans

Preheat oven, grease and flour pans.

In a large bowl, sift or whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and cocoa.

Add 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of water and 1 cup and 2 tablespoons of canola oil. Mix for 1 minute.

Add eggs, 3/4 cup of water, vanilla. Mix 5-6 minutes with a whisk, 3-4 minutes with a hand mixer.

Pour into pans, bake,  test by placing and removing a toothpick through the center at 25 minutes. When toothpick comes out clean, loosen from pans and then put back in the pans. Let cakes cool for 15 minutes. Keep in the pans, wrap in foil, and put in the freezer for at least 2 hours.

Frosting

This part is a little harder as it is really done to taste.

Put powdered sugar and 3/4 cup cocoa into a blender, mix until blended.

Drizzle in, until about the consistency of firm butter, several tablespoons of flavoring liquid (water if you aren’t looking for flavor beyond the cocoa and butter). Do not put in too much liquid, but if you do, add cocoa or sugar.  When the flavor and consistency is right,  add 1 1/2 cup of butter (firm, not cold and not too soft). A good rule of thumb is that both the butter and the sugar mixture should be slightly firmer than you would want it to be to spread it, since the mixing action of the blender will warm it slightly. Mix until blended.

Assembling the cake:

Remove the cakes from the freezer and from their pans. Stack, frosting each layer as you go. Let sit for an hour before serving.
